Blue Strike Environmental (BSE), founded in 2017, seeks an experienced Sustainability Program Manager to develop, organize and coordinate programs in the Monterey Bay region. You will implement projects and manage teams in line with the company's long-term goals.

Our mission is simple; to strike a balance between the environment and our communities. Our focus includes sustainable events, net-zero communities, and stakeholder engagement. Our founding team has been at the forefront of some of the most prestigious events in California, including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the California International Marathon. We are currently expanding and are looking to bring on board an established Sustainability Program Manager to facilitate our growth.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader, motivated to build and deliver world-class programs focused on events and community programs. To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in both program management and team management. You must be a self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
This position will play a key role in securing new and maintaining existing business. You will work in close coordination with the COO creating programs, developing budgets, writing proposals and operating plans to support the Company’s strategic direction.
Event Management: Organizing events in accordance with the mission and the goals of the business.
Managing diverse teams of staff and volunteers, scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, resources, and budgets.
Business Development: Research and prepare proposals to develop revenue generating business strategies for potential and existing partners. Explore ideas and evaluate events to assess the program strengths and identify areas of improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services. Ensure continuous quality improvement of stakeholder events. Work with existing stakeholders and explore opportunities to add value to their event programs.
Other Duties As Assigned: Provide support for additional program needs in response to changing business needs. We are a start-up and offer the opportunity to wear many different hats!
