Underwrites, researches and writes Title Policies, in accordance with internal and external policies and regulations.
Provides title and underwriting support as directed by Senior Underwriters which includes resolving potential problems affecting title; survey review and reviewing and responding to title objection letters; search and examine commercial properties; produce proforma title policies; provide internal customers and team members with timely answers to title issues; provide technical expertise to internal customers and junior staff members; provide updated and/or amended title commitments and any additional duties as required.
-Minimum of 10 years commercial real estate title review and underwriting experience with a major national title insurer (at least 3 years of said experience within the last 5 years)
- Proven strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficient ability to evaluate, learn and implement modern title production systems and technology
-Ability to meet deadlines, maintain a sense of humor and project confidence in working under pressure
-Willingness to commit the time necessary to meet commercial customer and transactional demands
-Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
-Capable of anticipating and resolving potential title problems
-Excellent customer service skills
-Computer competency; can fully exploit MS Office Word, Outlook, basic Excel, and various extra/intranets necessary to thrive as a competent employee in a technology focused company
